UIC Faculty Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award
Purpose
This 2023-2025 faculty award recognized extraordinary contributions and commitments to the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion on campus and/or surrounding communities. This included exceptional and impactful initiatives that included but were not limited to the following:
- Efforts that created a diverse, inclusive, and equitable educational and work environment
- Efforts that advanced equal access to education among diverse populations
- Efforts that promoted a just and egalitarian society
- Efforts in teaching, public service, and/or community engagement that addressed the needs of Illinois’ diverse and/or historically excluded populations
- Research initiatives that highlighted and advanced equity, diversity, and social justice
- Efforts that strategically supported minoritized and underserved populations
