Committees

The Office for Engagement supports four campus-wide advisory groups: 1) the Chancellor’s Status Committees, 2) the Diversity Advisory Committee, 3) the Diversity Collaborative Committee, and 4) the Student Advisory Council. Together, they advise university leadership on policies and strategies, work with the Office for Engagement to coordinate equity and inclusion efforts across campus, and monitor progress toward creating a more accessible and inclusive university community.

Chancellor's Status Committees

The Chancellor’s Status Committees—composed of students, faculty, and staff nominated by current members and appointed by the Chancellor—monitor the needs of underrepresented and underserved communities by examining issues related to representation, campus climate, policies, services, and institutional practices.

Diversity Advisory Committee (DAC)

The DAC advises the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Engagement on policies, procedures, and strategies that strengthen equity and inclusion across the university.

Diversity Collaborative Committee (DCC)

The DCC brings together equity and inclusion leaders from across the university to aid in coordinating equity and inclusion initiatives, identify opportunities for improvement, and monitor progress toward advancing access, equity, and inclusion throughout the campus.

Student Advisory Committee (SAC)

The SAC serves as a consultative body to the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Engagement and an advisory group to the Vice Chancellor for Engagement, ensuring student voices inform initiatives and programming that foster collaboration, cultural understanding, and social impact.
